JDA U8s Take on Manchester United in First-Ever Tour

A JDA First
Our U8s made JDA history with an unforgettable weekend in Manchester, as we embarked on our first-ever overnight football tour.
A select group of players travelled north for a weekend packed with football, experiences and memories that the boys will remember for years to come.
The trip began on Sunday with a visit to Old Trafford, giving the players the opportunity to experience one of the most iconic stadiums in world football with a stadium tour.
The boys also took part in a friendly tournament against other teams before heading back to the hotel for a team dinner and our first night away together as a JDA group.
An Unforgettable Morning at The Cliff
After waking up for a team breakfast, it was time for the highlight of the weekend.
The boys travelled to Manchester United's iconic Cliff Training Ground for an incredible opportunity to compete against four Manchester United teams.
And they certainly rose to the occasion.
Our U9s were outstanding throughout the morning, producing some brilliant football and winning three of their four games against Manchester United opposition.
The performances were fantastic, but the weekend was about far more than results.
More Than Football
From staying overnight as a team, to the team dinner, Old Trafford experience and stepping onto the pitch at The Cliff, the trip gave our players experiences that go far beyond their normal weekly football.
Creating these opportunities is a huge part of what we want JDA Academy to be about.
We want our players to develop as footballers, compete against top-level opposition and experience environments that inspire them, while making memories with their teammates along the way.
Our first-ever tour couldn't have gone much better.
An unforgettable weekend. Incredible memories. And hopefully the first of many JDA trips to come.
